Done Billing/Stoneleigh but Peterborough is a bit of a flog from N Wales. Is the off-road site worth traveling a long way for. Of the three shows does anybody have an opinion which is considered the best, from the off road point of view.

Hi Spencer 1885. Thanks for that, is your info current, because I had heard that the site that used to be used has now changed to a quarry with sand.

Yes thats the one
Been with the wife and kids to the quarry and before that at a prevous site.
Kids love it but not much better than what the average wesh farmer does not do on a average day. :D

whats the show and stalls been like at peterborough in previous years ?
i went to billing and enjoyed it but ive not seen a good review about stoneleigh
park yet, everyone seems to think it was far to expensive and to small .
i went last year but couldnt make it this year and i didnt think there was much there last year especially after going to billing.
ive heard that the peterborough show is as big as billing, is that true ?

Ive been to peterborough and billing in the past, but to pay that much money just so people can try and sell you stuff is a p*ss take.
Dont bother to go to Billing ,just peterborough, but I dont go to the show just the off road course

Stoneleigh was better this year than last year mainly because the Marshalls had not screwed up some of the site trying to show how clever they were when it was pretty wet. They were this year, when required, in the right place to assist those that needed it. It was interesting to see a Freelander make it up one of the hills but a 90 take 5 attempts, it must be due to the person sitting behind the round thing. Jet washing was well organised and not too pricey. The stalls were a smaller version of Billing. If you had never been before it could be difficult to find as, according to LRM, the locals take down the signs as they don't agree with the show. The off-road route was run in the opposite direction this year which made an interesting change.

That would explain why there wasnt any signs then. I was saying to everbody how badly sign posted it was! oops.

I wasnt that impressed with the general show, a little too much money for a small show i think.
ill go to billing next year again. Im going to peterborough i think, if im not working.

The off road course wasnt anything that challenging but i wasnt expecting it to be. I saw a red freelander going round and a chap in a disco giving it loads to try and get up the muddy hill bit and the marshall told him to stop. haha.
