I had it with my 300tdi when I got it stuck in a pool o muddy water. Ended up dropping sump off to find massive play in bottom end bearings caused by the silt I'd picked up from an open breather. Oil light flickered at idle as soon as revs applied it went out. Hope it ain't the same prob and that u get sorted soo

Could be, the oil light is acting just how you say.
On the other hand, my completely soaked air filter is making me worried! I hope, hope no water has mixed with the oil. Doesn't look or smell like it has...so fingers crossed.
AA man had been to 4 other broken down land rovers before mine. Now waiting for the low loader to take me home

My mates did the same had no power and the top hose was being sucked in so diagnosed as blocked intercooler, changed it for another and it's right as rain again apart from his front crank seal has gone

With luck it's just a soggy air filter but you'll need to clean the intake system right through

Thanks gents, good advice which will be followed! My next door neighbour has a garage so will be calling in some favours tomorrow!
Just got home, six hours to get from northampton to south london, 75 miles.
Who else travelled for longer to/from billing?

We were at Billing from Thursday afternoon 'till Sunday morning. Weather was good until Saturday evening.
One thing I did notice was that there weren't many new parts for sale. I tried in vain to get a pair of standard shock absorbers for the 90. Guess it's ebay, then.
The Flatdog and G4 tee shirts were a bargain mat a fiver!!
Geoff:)

I was lucky to have a gazebo to sit under!
For some reason I missed the Flatdog stand, wanted some arches!
