Do'er of stuff and the like
im after a load of big (ish) cardboard boxes... for packaging up stuff for our imminent house move. Im quite often driving around so if you have any please let me know.

Why is it hard to find big boxes these days!?

Got 35 up here ;) bit far to travel mind

You don't want them to be too big, else they will be a bugger to carry and get through doors. You can buy new boxes from all over the shop, but they will cost you 30 - 50 quid .. which takes the **** imo. See if anyone has *once used* boxes up on gumtree, then offer then a fiver/tenner.. worked for me ;)

Independent shops can be good as are chain shops. Try a wine shop. I get mine from an ironmongers as they have a skip out the back cos they get so much stuff. Plenty of plastic wrap too! The guy said fill yer boots.

+1. Liquor stores have a bunch of stout boxes.

go to the wholesalers in nuneaton. Whats it called brewers-brewsters -brokers-bookers summit like that. me mate runs a pub nearby and does exactly that.

When i worked at halfrauds we always had people comming in asking for cardboard boxes, we had a skip out back and would direct them there. lots of boxes in all different shapes and sizes.

yeah i think that what narks me too, we all used to be so wasteful and have mountains of the stuff... now its like a flippin rare commodity!
