If you are on std rubber you need 235/70/16, I've got them (BFG AT's) on Wendy's TDi 300 3 door

do we have to start the whole "my choice of tyre is better than your choice of tyre" fred all over again.
I will if i have to.

no need, i specifically did not ask what tyre to get, thats why i went to BFG site for a browse, i dont need any yet but want to know what to get when the time comes.

Hopefully my mixed crap that i have on it now will see me through winter.

I did a search but there was no answer that really said to me "get these ones" which is to be expected i guess.

and i agree with them, Cooper or General tyres are much better value:)

rubbish!
mate had some coopers on his disco sounds like a tank coming up the road and where warn out in little over a 12 months.
had general at's on both my defenders and my new bfg mt's out corner, brake and last better than they ever would:mad:

Oh crap, so what IS a good all round tyre for a disco that is 90% road used but does not want to show itself up in the snow etc . :)

I have BFG A/T's fitted on mine - 265/70/16's no probs at all - needed to adjust the steering stops a little and shave off a bit of the bumper and rear wing tho....

I would guess 235/70 16's ???

well look on paddocks they have them on there mt's and at's and no postage on orders over £50
i got my mt's from them bloody good service ordered um sunday night online they were here by 11am tuesday morning

Seem's like BFG's and Grabber AT2's are quite scarce at the moment, found these though, BUT these are a lot cheaper!

Bear in mind that the Paddocks prices are ex vat, whereas the Camskill ones include vat.

Incidentally, is it right that vat in the UK is going up the 1st of Jan 2011 to 20%?

I had General UHP's '18" wheels) on my previous TD5 auto and found them to be excellent: quiet onroad, wore well - I did about 25,000kms with then and there was loads left, surprisingly good in light offroading.
