So I have a couple of options, they all involve a bit of saving and working as much as possible.
Option 1 - Keep my Disco which needs the following done...
A front wing,
Sills and rear arches replaced,
New suspension put on (have it already just needs fitted)
A respray, I'm not really interested in rollering it myself. The quotes so far are £1000 to spray it in a solid colour or £1800 in the original metallic.
Option 1 a) after that's all done, be happy with it
Option 1 b) punt it hoping to recoup everything i just spent and move on.
Option 2 -
Keep mine ticking over, running, but not spending a fortune on it while I save for a newer (td5) discovery then when i finally get that sell mine as a project, since it's welding and painting it needs, mechanically it's sound.
I'm worried that I'm too emotionally attached to it and I'd end up throwing so much money into it when I could have bought something newer with less work needing done.
I can't help looking at td5's though. My only concern was at B&W show we had 200's, 300's and a D3 but no D2's :scratching_chin: Are they just in that middle range between enthusiasts and people (bump) who has the luxury of getting something newer and more reliable.
I might just be thinking out loud but I keep toing and froing on this, I know I want a Discovery but I don't know if it's fair to lust after others while mine is sat there.
