I am looking to put some new shoes on my landy and was wondering what people thought the best tyres would be.

The majority of my miles I do on the road however I do use it off road for work. I live in Peak District and we can have savage winters so I want something that can handle everything.

Ideas please folks.........

BFG AT
General Grabber AT

(Ya could've found this in a search easily)

Remember yer tyres are only as good as your pressure.

Cheers for the sincere responses guys.
I was actually planning on getting some square ones if possible. Just having a bit of trouble finding a good supplier

Cheers foxy red I might go have a look.

What do people think about insa turbos?

Are they a nightmare on the road?

I'd agree. The more aggressive the tread looks the worse it will be on the road, but better off road. General rule obviously.

I run insa turbo special tracks, noisy on road fair grip on the dry but can be skittish in the wet, awesome in the mud **** in the sand.

So you do mostly road miles and your asking about insa turbos.... Really?

Insa turbo do make more than one tyre you know, not just special tracks.

I have insa turbo traction tracks. They're bloody good on the road considering how good they are off road and aren't too loud.
The thing I prefer about them to bfg at's is that they're a bit more aggressive but still pretty civilised on Tarmac. Paddocks seem to be about the cheapest for them that I could find (265/75R16's).

There int a best tyre, if there was then everyone would run it,

As for insa turbo, which one? Special track? Ranger? Dakar? Sahara? Traction track?

All the above are copy's of bigger well known brands,

I run simex but it's an off roader, saw so e bf MUDs km2 and at both do rubbish as soon as it got abit slick and clogged,

I would run bf MUDs for everyday if it were going to stray off road

Fair enough but special track is the one most know about when insa turbo is mentioned. Ask the op what he meant!

Far better to spend your money on a quality tyre like BFG than a not so cheap remould like Insa. The BFG will last three or four times as long so far cheaper in the long run.
