Having bought the 3ton trolley jack from Machine Mart for £53, I took it back after the first try with it as I it didn't work properly.

I then upgraded and bought the £103 one, much better, however its very heavy. On reflection and with your budget I would recommend the one that Costco sell, its about half the weight (aluminum)

Costco UK - Jacks, Axel Stands & Cranes

and they do axle stands

I've got one of these https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/ctj3000g-3-tonne-professional-garage-j It's big but it lifts the 90 easily and is very stable.

I'v got the 2 tonne version which i have had for years and served me well but when i first bought it it lived out side as i didn't have a garage then and after a while the jack started to creep down and still does to this day but i always use axle stands with it as i don't trust it but plan to upgrade to the 3 tonne one at some point :)

I bought one of these a few years ago and it's served me very well since then:

Thats the one I bought originally but didn't work properly from the get go, wouldn't hold pressure. Took it back and bought the one below, much better

Don't buy an alloy jack for a landy as they ain't man enough for the job in my opinion

got one of those costco ones and ragged it about for years.. tis fine.

though i got it for the low profile to fit under the car. i'd get another one with a higher lift for the landy.

I have a Draper 3 ton heavy duty jack. Bought it 8 years ago when I bought the Disco so that Id have something man enough to lift it, Works fine, cost about £100 IIRC. The only thing Id change would be to have one with the footpedal that brings the saddle up to the vehicle without loads of pumping:eek:

Buy the most expensive you can afford. Bought a 2 ton for my series and you struggle to jack it as it is so short the handle / lever is still underneath, brought a second hand sealey 5ton for £160- absolute beast. Bend down slightly to check its under axle, 4 pumps of lever and wheel is 9 inches in the air.
