what's the best spare wheel carrier for the 90? Mine didn't come with one and I've seen a few different types for the back door, which ones where standard? Would they all fit a modular steel wheel?:)

It's all personnal preference. I personally see nothing wrong with the standard door mounted types, but some people say it's too much weight for the door. Mines been on 30 years and still has the original back door. Others go for the Mantec swing arm, that opens with the door, but puts less weight on the door. However, someone on here I think put up a horror story of how theirs went wrong. It depends also on size of tyre, if your putting huge tyres on, you will need a heavy duty carrier that removes maximum amount of weight from the door and onto the chassis.

It's not just the weight of the tyre either, I have wolf steel rims and they are well heavy on their own.
I do have the Mantec carrier on mine and would say they are very good, but they do need to be included on your service list, grease the joints, and check for free movement. They can get stiff and put a lot of pressure on the door hinges.

The britpart one is just fine, named ones are nice but once wheel fitted you can only see the hinge bit of it.
I bought mine 2nd hand off a mate a few years ago and its still on there holding up a wolf and a 285 I think tyre.

Do not rely on locking wheel nuts, run a bicycle lock or two through the wheel and the carrier, grease the locks before locking them otherwise they will seize.

fantastic thanks will have a look into them and keep you all updated on what I go for :D looks like the hinged one is the most preferable at the moment
