I wonder if tyres are cheaper in the UK than France? I'll be over in a couple of weeks and if the price is right will have new tyres fitted while I'm there.
Looking for 255/55 R18 109H. Currently on Goodyear Wrangler M+S and very happy with them. Not interested in General Grabber or the like, the only off road I do is wet grass with the caravan.
Have also had good experiences with Hankook.
Any suggestions?:)

I fit part worn's nearly new (still got the dimples on 2) at 60 a corner fitted, they are marshall ones so not the best but good enough for me going up and down the motorway. But that is on the Wirral at Top Gear Tyres.

That's odd, I did not find those prices on your web site, must have domne something wrong.
The Nexian look good how much P&P to Worthing and will anywhere fit them for me and at what sort of cost?
I agree about the major brands being left behind by the new manufacurers, I've never been brand concious, fitted Wanli to the Transit and they seem better than the Firestones they replaced, much better grip and quieter. May not last as long though.

If tyres are expensive in France, what about popping over the border to Germany?

Surely one of the benefits of living in continental Europe and having the same currency is that it's easy to source parts from a variety of different places? :)

Hmm Germany is further away than the UK, I source parts from all over the place, tyres are not cheap in Germany, the UK is usually the best place for car parts if you can persuade suppliers to post to France, many will not.
