hi guys i have decided i dont like the freelander and have decided to get a defender 90 but there are so many different types of engine out there what would be the best for me . im 41 yrs old with max no claims what is the best one to go for with prices of tax ins and fuel i dont need to use it everyday as i have a little estate car for that . also i have 600 grand to spend thanks guys

If you mean 6K, which I blatantly know you do, then you will be looking at a TDi really, there are so many though its hard to say what to go for. You could go out and get a niceish standard 300TDi for that money, you could get a crazy 200TDi converted older 90 or you could by my nicely modified 1991 200TDi for £4000 and then you got £2000 to spend on doing a few bits to make it yours...
