finally i'm getting round to rebuilding my discos inner wings, headlight boxes and body mounts. inner wing offside completely shot as pics show.

getting all the replacement bits form froggats in Macclesfield started the strip down last night.

not selling it, that was just me panicking!!!:eek:

going to get the kit b inner wing and new body mount from froggatts in Macclesfield.
plate up the hole, ill attack the surrounding area tomorrow and hope not to much more is revealed??

then ill attack the nearside?

she'll be like a new un when finished. again!!!!!
 
Quick update!

Got all the panels from Froggatts in Macclesfield yesterday, great service and panels!!

Footwell all prepared with fertan ready for welding tommorow!!

Now would be a bloody good time to give the inside of the sills and that body mount some fertan treatment followed by some decent paint like bonda, then Dynax ub or dinitrol...
 
I was up frogatts the other week great fella and full of great ifeas and makes the welfing job easier with his info. And panels are great quality
 
Quick update.

New floor panel in. Mount and sills fertaned first as suggested!
Weldings strong but not the best looking!!
Onto the bulkhead body mount tommorow!

I find it really reassuring that its not just my welding that looks like that :)
Once cleaned up and painted no one will know.

Don't forget to seal up the panel edges with tiger seal/sikaflex or similar. I'm undecided whether it's best to paint/prime first and then seal or the other way around..
 
Yep got me supply of sikaflex already to go! Paint last they guy at froggets told me!!
