What is it's history? How much are you going to pay for it, have you put down a deposit yet? Is it a private buy or from a dealer?
I'm sure it'll be a great motor but if you need to do a few checks on this site before you hand over any money then It might be worth while asking a few more questions and delaying the purchase for an hour or two tomorrow (that's if you are buying it and not like inheriting it). There are lots of people on here who would be happy to help.

Hi mate. Good luck with it. As you know it's a 13 year old motor so there will be things wrong with it but nothing that can't be sorted.

Yup, search for Freelander window regulator in ebay. You'll get hundreds of hits which unfortunately tells you how reliable they are.
IMO don't bother with the repair kit for a front window as my experience of them has been bad. If the motor is OK buy a regulator complete apart from the motor to save a few quid.

Are you sure you were insured and taxed for the journey back home? I'm not doubting that you were. Having just driven the route, I know there are quite a few ANPR cameras' along the way. Should you need to complete any paper-work in the next few days make sure you are accurate with the date of purchase etc.
