I'm putting a new serpentine belt tensioner on a 300TDi Discovery as the old one has been squealing and chirping, but I've come across something of interest on the old tensioner after I removed it.
It appears someone in the past has stuck a screw in the side of it, for what purpose I am not sure. Me dad thinks it's to correct some sort of alignment issue, so is this a different 'version' of 'the penny trick'?
