Sunday 10th august...wondered wat sort of events were there , or is it just a type of gathering.....

went to the vauxhall day there last year and it was a good turn out they have got the topgear exhibition there and plenty of space for loads of cars

Anyone else going this year? We'll be there again this year (two days after picking up our first Disco! :D)

Gutted, on me hols on the 9th. Would be a jubbly drive up, could pick off some lanes en route......next time maybe.

got too many leaks to fix so may have to miss it this year. one of these years i will make it to all the shows I want to get to

I'll be on holiday nearby this year so might pop along - but as the OP asks, what is actually happening on the day? The site is a bit confusing for me - it kinda says its a parade, but I've heard from other sources that there's an autojumble? Are there any displays, or is it a case of turn up and look at the other landys, then either do the off road course or check out the beaulieu attractions?

And more importantly, how the feck do you pronounce it?!!

The event is fairly small (with only around 80-100 attending), but you get to park on the grass in the grounds immediately outside the entrance to the museum, instead of outside in the public car park with all of the plebs.

As long as you park in the grounds in your Landy, you pay £10 for adults and £5 for children (usual prices £24 and £12) and then entry to everything (bar the off road course) is free.

Because it's such a small event stalls are very limited, but LRE are there and you can even hire a nice new Land Rover or Range Rover to do the off road course if you want. It's around 45 minutes to do a lap, but it's pretty easy going, certainly non damaging. Just think of it as a nice drive in the woods that a normal car would never around.

No parades, no auto jumble, no displays, just a meet and a nice relaxed place to spend the afternoon - a great one for families.

If the weather's okay, we'll get a table, chairs and a kettle set up by our red Disco - if you see us there, come and claim yourself(selves?) a cuppa!

John.
