So the LED has now stopped working on my latest beacons switch.
Fitted this one about 8 months ago but the beacons have only been used once, so this may have happened some time ago.
The rest of the switch works fine, just the tell-tale LED that keeps blowing.
The voltage into the LED is battery voltage (14.4v when running). Maybe this is too high for it, though I would have thought it would be ok.
I've ordered (yet) another one, but how can I stop this happening? Would it help if I fit a 100 ohm resistor in the return wire?

Well I fitted a 620 ohm resister in line with the led before replacing the switch.
That *should* stop it from drawing more current than is safe.
Will see how that goes...
