[FONT=Times New Roman, Times]On a more serious note some home made devices consisting of metal bars with spikes welded to them have been found in several puddles on a couple of lanes in the Peak District National Park, obviously put there to inflict damage on motor vehicles but one device was found by a horse rider who just happened to spot it in the water.Be aware of this next time you are on the lanes especially if it looks like you are being forced into a puddle by any obstructions at the side of the lane. I just read this on a website, worth reading

Whoever has instigated this really is not doing themselves any favours. Muppets!!!

Imagine if another bobble trips over and falls on a spike. Jeeeeeeesus how dense can anyone be.

This has been happening for years .. We also get wires across mountain bike paths, spikes on bridleways, and all sorts of other stuff.

Personally I've come across a post with barbed wire curled round it in a lane where it would have been underwater, but luckily had dried .. It could have been accidental .. but was in a place that didn't have a post/barbed wire fence beside it, though there was one 100 yards or so away!

It pays to keep an eye open, for sure ..

Its hard to get your head round this, these are the same peolpe who use these lanes with thier families etc etc. Its like landmines and forgetting where you laid them....

Maybe we need to train some small monkeys to steal bobble hats... And then release them onto the lanes, to silently inhabit the trees, waiting patiently to strike.... :D

What about informing Her Majesty's Finest, if you did this on a A, B or C class road they may be interested.

not able to read most of this as on phone witout mmy bins on... has been happening for years but i managed to pick up two nail punctures the other week in peaks... was alway on top of shatton moor in past but didnt go up that day ... Looks like its starting again
