hi everyone
having air problems on my L322 and i was struggling to locate the ecu's in question . the BCM is simply under the passenger seat . the air ecu is under the dash on the passenger side . having not yet removed the air ecu this post will grow accordingly .
I found this youtube video which is helpfull . it shows the removal of the left air vent and dash panel .

from your earlier post it seems your issues could be due to water ingress.

iv just recently had to change my airbag ECU as water ingress had soaked the ECU and was playing havoc with the restraint systems.

surprised it didn't deploy any air bags to be honest !!

i wouldn't be at all surprised to find this was the case . hope it is at least i will have a result in knowing the cause and then i can seek a cure .

Update on the spring kit its now in the UK and waiting delivery to me . But just as i bought them doesnt ness meen i will fit them YET :):mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

still going to investigate the air problem to a point then sod it springs on and see how it rides , if its ok and the work around electrics work well then it stays on springs if not well burn the bugger :) not really :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Update guys and gals , the air ecu is under the dashboard next to the glove box however you dont need to remove the upper panel just the darker colour lower one . but the video does help .

how you get on with this mate had any luck or you goin to torch it ;)

i like the thought but cant afford
1 the prison time
2 the loss of no claims

the spring kit is here and im converting it , only because i have bought the kit and want to see just how it rides .

I now have narrowed it down the either the binikle(speedo) or the air ecu .

new left front leg and new compressor both 500 miles old be for sale soon along with the rear air bags if they are serviceable

An L322 on springs will be worth even less then a P38 on springs when it comes to selling it on.
