Once again Redhand proves he knows nothin about nothin with all his drivel !.

( By the way mate, over the last few months my van seems to be taking an " extra turn " when starting in the mornings, the voltage after its been standing all night is 12.17 volts and drops to 9 odd volts when cranking. Its charging around 14.3 volts when running. Am I right in saying it should be holding between 12.4 volts to 12.8 volts when standing ?. Its on a 2.0lt diesel van three and a half years old. )

In relation to the OP,s question, I,ve got a 110 Ah battery on my TD5, and its NEVER gone flat, even after a whole nights shooting with all the lights on and 2 hadlamps.

Why would it? Your charging it whilst the engines running aren't ya
Unless your drawing more amps out of your battery than yr alternators putting in ?

Or is that drivel too?

I try to avoid running a 2.5lt deisel engine when I,m sat down the side of a warren with a moderated rifle !

For Bromsgrove Defenders benefit,

My " pop " at Redhands " drivel " was subtle attempt at humour, as the lad obviously knows his amps from his volts.

This then led on to me, basically, asking him for some advise.

I was rather hoping for the post to be rebuffed by the man himself !.
