Hi People.
I've been searching the interweb for an answer no luck. So the issue I'm having is that the battery light on the dash is off until the revs go over 2000- 2300 rmp. Then when they drop the light goes off? Any ideas as to the cause?
Thanks for letting pick your brains.

Sounds like a diode fault

A slipping belt may cause this
IMO it may not on a D2 without overheating first cos at such crytical slip to not turn the alternator the water pump would not work too. As long as the alternator is turning with more than 700 rpm it delivers enough voltage and the warning light comes on only when the voltage drops below 2V after it was once extinguished by a more than 7.6V signal(see attachment)

The D2's alternator is not with field effect diodes

To troubleshoot this symptom it's compulsory to watch live battery voltage when it happens then we can speak about it
