you can bin the battery with a dynamo fitted.
but you cant run a car with no battery if youve got an alternator. take the wires off whilst its running and find out what i mean!

if yer wanna bargain battery I run my two landies on tractor batteries (96ah) available from SCATS farm shops for about £45. if you run out of diesel there's usually enough 'leccy to get you home.

You can re-use a head gasket if needs be, however it is just not recommended to!

and who recommends this?? the gasket sales people
it the same as "do not re-use head bolts" i've never bought new head bolts and never had a problem.
it all comes down to what you know you can get away with.
