If you do need a new battery amd can be arsed to cross the river, go to Auto Silencers in Tynemouth, where they will do a drop test on yours and only if necessary, sell you a new big capacity battery.

Speak with Dave or John first on 0191 257 6447, as they will not sell you anything that you don't need!
 
had battery checked and fine but after the guy done a drop check he also checked alternator and said its not charging battery soaftertaking theright bits off i got to the offending part and just when things were going ok the bolt at the backof it has seized tight and ive managed to round the head off it so its all got to go back together and a trip to a friends garage to see what he can do [its been sprayed with release oil]
 
Welcome to the world of Landy ownership. I dont think I know of a Landrover that does not have a rounded bolt :) The factory fits specially softened ones.

Invest in a set of Irwin Bolt Extractors for around a tenner! You will need them in the future!! :D:D
 
Get amp meter on it should tell you if it has a drain or if its worn out, tested mine after it wouldn t start last week result was replace the battery, I didnt an guess what she wouldn t start again this morning, hmm.
