Good evening all ..Thanks to everyone for their advise ..Can I ask is it worth renewing the tensioner as well ..Is there any where do these parts as a kit etc ..
 
You mean the actual damper? It either works or it doesn’t. If it keeps the tension on the new belt firm, but not too much as in seized - it’s fine. If it’s too worn it will jump about causing one hell of a noise/problem.

Thats for a m51 p38 he has a m57 td6 i had a look they are a completely new set up and a lot more pricey
