So I crashed my discovery a few weeks back and since then my battery keeps dying. I have a dual battery system and the backup is drained also????

Anyone know what it could be?
 
Ouch. What did you drive into? If you charge it up and check the drain it should be less than 50mA. Could be anything, alternator diode pack failing (diagnose by disconnecting alternator one night to see), faulty bonnet switch. If you hook up a meter you may be able to isolate the problem circuit by going through the fuses one by one

Hit a post can, just trying to take off the nudge bar and thankfully no real damage to chassis or bodywork, except the bonnet.

Big problem is my torque wrench is in the boot and the dog guard stop me getting in there lol
 
After that bang you suffered, I wouldn't be surprised if a wire somewhere has become trapped and damaged. Check too that the additional wiring and switching for the second battery hasn't been damaged.
Before you start getting into measuring the current drain, I'd be doing a careful visual check of all the electrics, especially those forward of the bulkhead.
I presume that you can't get into the back because the battery is too flat to operate the central locking.
Incidentally, what was the result with the insurance?

Yeah need to do some more work on it. In regards to insurance I got a 6k payout and keep the vehicle
