For the fifth time in the past couple weeks, I've tried to start up my Discovery, and the battery is either completely drained or doesn't have enough juice to start up and it's one of those Optima Red-Top batteries. Anybody have some ideas, 'cause I'm lost here.

how old is the battery, have you had it checked out if yes and its ok i would start looking for a power drain, have you fitted anything electrical or done any work on your car lately or a few weeks ago when problem started

The battery is about 8 or 9 months old, I'm planning to have it checked out when I have some time this week, and the only electrical things I've done to it are install some APC super-white headlight bulbs.

And have the alternator checked, they some times fail , they will charge while the engine is runnnig BUT discharge when the engine is swtiched off.
