Vehicle Wiring products will have them mail order

Thanks, ordered myself a couple. I compressed the wires between a couple metal washers for now and bolted it to the gearbox covering with electrical tape while I wait for them. Should at least let me know whether it has sorted the problem of my slow battery drain :)

doubt it, but it needed doing :p

Get your multimeter out and do what landowner said. Resetting your alarm or recharging battery every couple days.. what's worse? :D

I'd also get the multimeter out and check the alt is charging your battery first, tis the easiest test.

Don't leave it too long once they turn up. Squashing those wires between a couple of washers won't be a very secure connection. I they work loose through vibration and are taking a large current, they may arc as they come back off. What you've done really is a 'get you home' fix, and should be fixed properly ASAP.

Its a good idea to put your rough location on your profile, just incase you have any helpful landyzoners in your local area that might feel inclined to give you a hand.

Yeah I know what you mean, although its probably still better than driving without an earth like I have been for the last few weeks (months? :|)

Also I will do that! I think my Landy maybe in the running for one that ####s up the most!

I'd be surprised if there is not another earth connected, starter motor and all that.

I have another thinner wire going to the Negative... The alarm/immobilizer perhaps? Unless that is on the positive. It seems a newer wire though.
