Battery compartment storage

How many people use the Battery compartment under
the passenger seat to store Bits and Peaces

Any thoughts on this ie the acid problem

Wouldn't do it myself, particularly tools or similar - too much danger of something puncturing the battery in an accident or sudden stop.

If you could bolt/weld a partition in to stop that happening then I don't see why not.

Cheers,

I bung whatever I can in there. If I'm in an accident that's bad enough for tools to puncture the battery then I reckon that'll be the least of my problems.

Don't you have to remove the passenger seat to get at the battery compartment, or have I missed something?

Only the base... takes approx 2 seconds if yer really make a meal out of it.

Or 5 minutes or so if you've bolted on a pair of rangie seats like wot I dun. Hence, no, I don't store stuff unner there.

Don't get it neither, it's a Landy. It's not like it's a saloon with a wee glove compartment, why d'ya want to store stuff there, you've got a chuffing great load bay!

you could keep some ep90 with which you could top up yer g/box xhile away from home. that way it wouldn't be bouncing around in the back
