hi all , new to this but need help please after battery disconnect
yesterday i replaced a door cable on my 04 l322 rangerover , I took advice from a mechanic and disconnected the battery for 20 mins before hand , on reconnection I have now lost my central locking , and when i turn the car off , and remove the key from the ignition , it tells me the "key is still in the igniton" and my display etc is still powered up .This stops me from restarting the car as it locks the barrel the same as if you leave it in drive and the only way to reset this is to disconnect the battery again .

Can anyone help please ?

thanks

If it's like the P38, you need to lubricate the lock barrel with graphite lock lube. The central locking will not work if it thinks the key is still in the ignition.

thankyou ..the lock turns if i reconnect the battery..so it works until i try and turn it again, does the l322 have some sort of security that stops it getting stolen if you reconnact battery ?
