hi dose anybody know if you have to take out the seat box to replace battery box or can you change it with seat box in thanks in advance as someone will know

It's riveted to the underside of the seatbox, so it can be done in situ. You need to take bits and pieces out but it's not a big deal. I had the inner and outer sills off when I did mine.

It was back before the days of YRM metal solutions panels as well, so I went down to the local metal shop with my cutting list and folded and welded up my own version. Then fully fibreglassed the inside as well.

How much fiber glass did you use ?

I used about 1/2m squared of woven-roving and maybe a few of cups of resin to make it into a fully waterproof batterybox.

The steel was fully seam welded and painted first, then it was laid in on top of that, it also stopped the condensation inside the box which I was pleased about as it will have extra electrical stuff in there some day.

Cheers, I'm thinking of doing similar, to properly seal it and also as you said help to insulated the body from the cables, thanks again :D
