i was just wondering has anybody got any pictures or know of any pictures of bare metal land rovers (Defender) that have been polished up ?? i remember seeing a picture ages ago and thought it looked quite good. Has anybody done this before and had good/bad results? Any advice would be much appreciated.

there used to be a guy in Bath that had stripped his series down to bare ally. I haven't seen it for a bit though.

Land Rover did a series 3 like that as a promo vehicle in the 70s or 80s. Maybe have a browse on google?

did the series 3 look alright stripped? ive seen that pic of the 90 and its very very shiny but i wanted just a dull ally look and then laquer it maybe so its protected.

IIRC it looked like that defender above maybe a little duller. Had a trawl round google and dunsfold but no luck. somebody will have a pic but i've only seen it in a magazine, possibly a retro landy ad?

Unless you want to polish it every other day you would have to clear coat it.
