Nice one bud! I didn't rate the feel of the Flo flex when I fitted some on a rrc, they seemed really squishy and they were so cheap always doubted them in the back of my mind, so when I did them.on the 90 I got the polybush orange ones!

I'm lucky, my old man has a big press so they came out (some were a bitch even with the press!!) eventually, I used a bit of silicone spray and a vice to get them back together, feels amazing to replace them all! I still need to do the rear a frame ones, got the bushes but been putting it off until I can be arsed!

Great thread mate!

Cheers! I got these for £20 inc bolts so no loss if they are ****e! Plenty of copper slip when everything went back just incase!

Ill keep an eye on em tho.

Lucky, I want a press! lol

Did the A-Frame on my 90 last year, that was damn hard as well!

Mooooaaarrrr fire!

As youve guessed ive started the other side, came apart MUCH easier as the wretched bolts hadnt seized into damn bushes!

That said not without injury, the radius arm fell out as I was getting up and of course landed on my finger! Que screaming haha

Stopped for the day as its Boxing day and i fancy a brandy.

All done :D so glad thats over with, I mus say I hate doing bushes. Rubber bushes that is ;)

Rides nice, all is still in place, though as mentioned before, I shall keep an eye out for bush failure. All is copper slipped up so I can drop it all easier if need be.

In more exciting news José from TD5inside is due at the end of Jan :D:D:D:cool:

I'm looking to take mine on my very first off-roading foray, if it's going to be (very) light and if total novice's are welcome please let me know !

I honestly couldnt tell you as a mate is organising it!

Though there is a pay & play in Elham, Kent which I have been to a few times, overall pretty easy, a standard LR would be fine. If you drive properly it is none damaging, hit me him if you wanna come!

Where you based and what you drive?

Defender 90 chap - 2' lift, 33' tyres, rock sliders etc so it's ready for what I want to do. Based out Gatwick way, not exactly local to Elham but not a million miles away either

If you guys ever fancy some Welsh lanes, I'm always keen! I know it's a long way for you guys, but there are some real beauties up here!:)

FINALLY got my refund from the shoddy Pipercross filter I got off ebay, seriously poor comms and poor customer service. Taken 4 weeks of arguements to get it sorted.

Ordered one direct from Pipercross this time.

So +2 Goodridge stainless steel braided lines fitted! Considerably more expensive than I thought , infact more than double... However they did have to replace 2m of copper pipe as well as all of the unions, a 2 hour job became 6 hours. Thankfully we split the difference on the extra time. Either way it was not a job I wanted to even try myself.

As for braking performance? Marginally better. However the garage did inform me that while the brakes are good and not dangerous there is room for improvement. So as time passes I will replace most of the braking system, probably start with the master cylinder and go from there.

Did get to go out laning yesterday! Which was a fun, was nice to give it a chance off road, handled everything brilliantly. Only had one flutter of the TC light coming on so no traction lost. I was a little concerned going considering the 110 is much wider, longer and taller than my 90 but I did manage, mainly by going very slow through some areas. As most of the lanes round my way are very tight, so much so ive lost numerous snorkel tops, alpine glass, snowcowls, many dents and SO many scratches. Though it did survive unscathed! Didnt get many pics but heres one -

Cheers! I never lead as I have the direction sense of a drunk hamster... Also pretty awful at map reading haha

This time around we went around Sittingbourne, Maidstone, Pilgrims Way area. Some pretty decent ones around there, some rather steep too! Otherwise its usually Salisbury Plain

Start of the soundproofing! Ordered 50sq/ft of FatMat MegaMat Black, the best product they do and by all accounts cheaper and better than Dynamat (I had great experience in my 90 with the RattleTrap). Going to start with the rear cab and move forward from there, as I will be able to reuse the carpet. I doubt I'll be able to reuse the front carpet...

On top of the MegaMat will sit 3mm - 6mm closed cell foam, which unlike many other foams does not absorb water and retains heat considerably better.

So the light bars I wanted came up on ebay from my favourite lighting seller, remarkably there where in the UK! Not HK so saved myself £80 in various fees even though i have no way to fit them till the cage is on

Apparently 392w per bar, if you note the unusual LED pattern its actually 3 rows, not the usual 2 rows but no larger! Also Philips chips not CREE.

While I know to take the 392w with a hefty pinch of salt ALL my light bars have come from this guy and each one has been fanatasic. Plus they offer a no questions asked 1 - 2 year warranty, dont even have to send the broken ones back. They just send a new unit! Even if the actual output is half what is stated, thats still close to 400w total, which is the same output as my old 50" bar.

That said once fitted, is there a way to measure the actual power/output?

I also thought that a pair of 20" bars would look different and a little more unique than the standard single 50" bars.

don't know if it may be ok to have a look if ur around this way please, or of course can easily come to u

been watching ur thread and the fender does look an awesome landy

still think the fender is a real looking landy

did see they do a special grill with the lights incorporated in them, but bloody hell are they expensive

behind my front bumper i've noticed two connectors , one for spots and the other for fogs

so may look into buying the loom, may end up passing out though on the price as we all know some landy parts can be stupid in costs

ps, as a side note, still be looking for some decent lanes

looking around the graves end area

other places will be the south downs, but noticed national trust own a lot of land , so that will be a no no with then , lol
