hi, i dont know if its because i havnt had a landy in a while and been driving a peugeot 306 around, but ive just baught an 02 plate td5 discovery and ive noticed if i let clutch out a bit to fast i get a banging noise from the back, could it be just a propshaft uj? or am i just been picky? is this normal? thanks

Been doing some research and I think it could be the watts linkage on the back axle. Anybody changed these bushes before? If so what they like to do? Thanks

I managed to do mine using a large vice and sockets instead of a press, but it was a pain in the ass. Replaced the outer ones with polybushes, and the centre 3 with LR original ones.

Hopefully shouldn't need doing again within the car lifespan.

I got new bolts (expensive!) from LR - they are long, and supposedly wax coated....

Watts linkage is ok, turned out to be bolts were loose that fastens rear prop to tranni box! Sorted now and changed anti roll bar stab link on back. Noise has gone now, missed having a landy as there's always summet to do!
