Hi Guys,
I'm after a new hitch to use for general towing as well as the odd recovery either by strap / rope or fixed bar. Does the following look ok?

ASC Industries 5500kg ball and pin jaw towing hitch coupling supplied with bolts & ball cap

Thanks in advance!

I buy a proper towball from Dixon Bate at least you know its not a sh!te import copy.
You'll pay a tad more but why take the chance.

Do they advertise the hitch as being heavy duty?
Only ask because the usual capacity is 3.5 t

Agree with Kevstar though, you get what you pay for when it comes to safety.

I'd be careful. I've dad a few cheap things where they have used carbon steel instead of a decent chrome moly alloy. Its seems ok at first as the carbon steel is strong but its not tough and it breaks suddenly. When I needed a NATO hitch I went for a used original.

The company I work for make tow bars, they sell a range of the hitches you are looking at - both Dixon Bate and Bradley brand, we stock those not make them. I know they aren't super cheap but you may be able to negotiate a bit of discount - sales side is nothing to with me! Pretty sure they only go up to 3.5 tonne capacity though.
Without advertising the company name google tow bars, Atherstone - it's the company actually in Atherstone not near it.....
