Hi guys and girls,

I bought a 2003 TD4 freelander a couple of months ago and am delighted with it so far. However, last week I was driving along the motorway - the heat was intense so I decided to put the window down at the back of the jeep (where the back door is). The window went back up ok.

However now I cannot open the door - the window no longer goes automatically down that 1 inch to allow the door to be opened. I attempted to open the window from inside the car - when I press down on the button it makes a 'beeping' noise like someone reversing - when I press up I hear a noise like something being shredded from inside the door! The back window wiper no longer works either.

Can anyone offer advice?

I have left it with a mechanic but don't want him trying to scam me - I cant figure out for the life of me how he will get the door open as I tried manually to move the window and it doesn't!

Thanks

Joseph
