Pressed the starter.. nada.. checked battery connections.. jump leaf direct to starter.. not a lot, just a slight whir guessing that's what went pop. Hopefully a brush broken?

Chassis mounted push button.. the early one without the button underneath. Bypassed it to make sure it's not thatHas the starter got its own piggy back solenoid or a remote chassis mounted one?
The old oil has been in for at least a decade.. do i drain and refill, or start up and warm, then drain and refill? I'll bet there's a lot of sludge in the sump that won't drain from cold
