Has anybody ever put a 200 TDi engine in a 300 TDi 110?
I have the offer of a 110 with a blown engine and am currently driving around in 200TDi discover which has a Swiss cheese for chassis. Sort of makes sense to make one good one out of the two. I think there are some engine mount differences and pipe work changes but I'm not sure about the gearbox. Any info would be greatly appreciated before I burn my bridges and end up with two Landy's I cant use.

I believe it is quite a lot more work than just the mounts - floor pan and bulkhead changes I believe. Also doesn't the fuel system come up the other side? And I think there may be instrumentation differences.

Sell the Disco to somebody who wants a 200, and buy a recon engine for the Defender.

You may both have a point, I aonly thought about doing this because the Disco engine is a real good un and it seams its a shame not to use it. If its going to be two much hassle though it maybe not worth doing.

you can do it, but it will involve a bit of hassle and remembering what parts to order in the future
