Maybe we should do a group buy GG, straight from Alibaba? I can never work out there prices, but it looks like $1.30 per unit with a minimum order of 50 units. That's only about £50 for 50, so not much really.
Yeh, would make sense - if they are any good. They do various mounts and other bits and pieces for Freelander as well. Various candidates that perform well as aftermaket products - eg drop links

What we need is a guinea pig to try out their bushes :)

I was wondering whether to put a thread up to see if anyone was interested in a group buy of iCarsoft LRII, they're a relatively high value item that we might be able to get quite a bit off on a group buy.

The large bush isn't actually available separately, only with the bar. So getting a supply of acceptable replacements would be helpful.
I agree about the Icarsoft. I think a group buy of Hawkeye's would be better though. ;)

Yeh, especially with those bushes suiting both tie bars. Personally I have a new Bearmach lower tie bar sitting in my garage that I got with the engine mount that I took off to see if that was causing the vibration (easier than removing the mount).

Hawkeye's would undoubtedly be better - but at twice the price there's less likelihood of getting numbers.

I’ve taken delivery of the power flex bush for the bottom tie. But for some reason the packet had two sets in it. So now I have a spare. I’m gonna test fit it. If I’m happy with it and can quantify the difference it’s made, would anyone be interested in buying the other. £12 inc postage?

Not if you got it free lol ! ( just kidding )
Perhaps you could auction it and give the proceeds to oxfam ! Heard their a bit strapped !

Wasn’t free it was nearly 40 quid for two. I only need one. Read the box it’s meant to come with two.
I would never give a penny to o dam. I used to work in a pub near there offices and they would come in most nights spending hundreds on company cards

I don't know much about what your doing but would it not be better to fit a pair or are they handed ?

The bush arrived this week. Had a quick look this morning. The old bush is so worn it literally fell out the tie bar.
The new bush will need to be pressed in some how. I’ve tried to push it but not a chance, even tried tapping it in with a hammer. No go so will need to try a bench clamp next

Now I have a sticky clutch. Brilliant. This car is the gift that keeps on giving.

When you say sticky what are the symptoms ?
Your right about keep on giving - - -
The only well built part on mine is the bonnet release, I guess they knew it would get lots of use.

Sort the clutch issue. Touch of oil on the arm and it’s fine.
I’ve fitted the the bush. It’s vastly different in regards it feels a lot firmer and when you put the foot down it just feels better.
The issue I have is that it sounds a bit louder. I’m not sure if I like it. Hopefully it will settle down

Great about the clutch, that's not the sort of thing that just puts off a problem to later either :)

Is that the upper (engine mount) tie bar bush?

Presumably you didn't need to lift the engine over the mount, so the noise isn't something that's happened to the exhaust?
