Hi ok so I have rebuilt my gearbox on my 2002 l322 td6 I have put a new torque converter in was driving grand and went out to go shopping tonight and Warm her up and off I went and was drinking great and then just stopped and lost drive it was like hitting a wall was still running but no drive so I went through the gears and I have revis but that's it the aa cam and got me and wean I got home I had a look underneath and found a small drip from the gearbox so pulled the fill plug out and no oil in the so I had 1lt of oil left over for it and have put that in but no joy will get some more oil in the morning and put that in to see if it's that but just wondering how bad it is for a gm gearbox and any advise would be great as I was hoping that if I have reverse the box is OK as its done 4000 miles since it was done and this must of been wean the leak started please help me out thanks justin

Yes it was 100% and was running great not had a problem with it till to day have not been out in her for a week as of work but last week went shopping to asda tesco and dropped food off to 12 disabled family's that can not go out and not a problem there was no warning 1 minute it was fine and then no drive I and hear it going in to gear but just not moving

are you sure you the transfer box has not gone into neutral or drive shaft/propshaft hasn't broke?

IMO you should have got covered in oil when you took the plug out so I would be asking where it's all gone.

Hi ok so updat I have put the gearbox oil in and it was 2.5 lt but still no drive can her it going in to gear but not moving in drive can not see nothing broken and drives in reverse so what now please help me out thanks

If it was empty, then 2.5 litres is not enough.

Does your transfer box change from high to low?
You could get someone you trust to put it into drive with the handbrake on and push a little on the throttle while you are underneath and listen for noises from the tranny box and gearbox maybe?

How much extra oil did you get in with the engine running? IMO 3.5 litres is a lot for a top up.

I put 1 lt in last night and 1.5 in today and had her running for 30 to 45 minutes I wean through the gears and then tried to get her to move bit no joy but if I put her in reverse she will go backwards without a problem

Just to be clear, You continued to fill the gearbox with oil while the engine was running until it overflowed?
