Hello all

Haven't been in here for a while. Have tried living without an old Land Rover but only managed a couple of years.

Latest acquisition is a 1978 109 FFR Ex-military radio vehicle. Seems to have been looked after ok - at least in its civilian life someone has spent a few quid on it. Got me 400 miles back home anyway.

Only major current problem is a bolt where the (new) exhaust / (old) inlet manifolds attach to the cylinder head. It's a 2286CC petrol engine. Have tried to find a solution without posting on here; no luck, so will post in the appropriate section.

Will try to use my limited knowledge to help other people, as best I can.

Hi SmileySteve

Can I post an image direct on here or does it have to be on some other site like photobucket? Clicked on 'insert image' and it asked for a URL. Am not v technical.

in photobucket look at the left and click on your choice, like direct link. it will be copied and you just paste it in the address bit.

Have uploaded one to photobucket. No idea what to do next. Tried to put link here but it didn't work. Sigh. Am so useless at modern stuff. This is why I like old vehicles.

Will attempt again tomorrow when I have more patience.

Hurrah!

Thanks to Brown for the link, thanks to Vagrent and Mad Hat Man for the 'posting images for dummies' info. It really is that easy. Now for that damn bolt...... maybe I'll arc weld it. (That question is in the Series LRs section, titled 'manifolds bolt won't tighten')
