Got busy over the weekend and as I love fiddling thought I would make up a snorkel :D

Got busy with the dremel

Drilled some holes for the cable ties that will support the pipe

I then put it all together and sealed the joins with RTV

Then finished it off by connecting it to the airbox using a number of elbows

And there you go, finished

I am aware its not the 'usual' way of doing it but I like being different ;)

Anyway feel free to flame/praise :D

its certainly different ile give you that ;)

:5biagree:

only thing I'd like to point out is that the 1st hefty tree you come across (if you green lane) is gonna rip it off:eek:, but at that price I bet you wouldn't mind;)

yup, 1st tree and bang the snorkel is gone!

but who gives a f*** at £18 its almost cheaper than a new grille for me safari

with all the thought you put into that it's hard to see why your not a vehicle designer, hehe

its good for that price, but has pointed out, first tree or bank and its gone...

with only a bit more work you could have put that long pipe on the inside of the wing... its only 6 screws along the top and another 5 or so on the side, near the front door...

good job there matey, thinking a trip to b&q might be in order next week. Was thinking of running it down the inside of the wing thou. Anyways cheap mod but top job.

That is what i was going to do but some previous owner bodging meant i couldnt get the wing off

Might look at it again later and do a Mk2 :D

I managed to get a bullbar and upon trying to fit it realised Ihad a slight issue with where the snorkel went through the wing

So I ripped it all off

Then I got busy with the angle grinder

Ran the pipework again

Then cut the wing out at the top, refitted and slapped the bullbar on.
