We now have a healthy click from the pump.
Awaiting exhaust tube and it's on to the final wiring.
I have put a bit of plastic cable tidy over the exposed tubes. I know it won't do much but might impress my MOT chap if he ever bothers to have a look under it. He may think I know what I'm doing.
Naa. Scratch that.

Thegzaust arrived this morning.
I'm going to try it without a silencer first. Apparently they are noisy on both air intake and exhaust but noise is relative. It is a diesel series after all.
 
Had another play today and couldnt resist a trial fireup. Wasnt even sure if it would work but fitted it anyway. How hard could it be........:rolleyes:

It was warming the ruddy street up :eek:. Looks like the passenger is going to have to keep their legs out of the way.

Didnt notice it being noisy. Ill find that out when its rigged up properly and I can drive with it on. There was some white flakes blowing out of the exhaust port though. Probably coz its not been run for a while.
 
I have an eberspacher d2. The 101fc ambi originally has a b4, which can be switched to re-circulate air, or to pull in fresh.

I would very much advise setting it up to recirculate.

As for battery - how long will you ever run it for with the motor off anyhow?

One last point - they burn kerosene much nicer than diesel. When im next feeling enthusiastic with the 101, i will fit a separate tank for the eberspacher,
 
First attempt didnt do anything. Not surprised as I hadnt switched the diesel tap to on. Oh and dont use easy start. It backfires.............a bit.:confused:

I drilled the holes in the side of the seat box for the air intake. Bit easier than an anti water vent underneath.
I may need it on when out lamping for foxes but not for long judging by the heat output. Not unless I clad the inside with pine and get nekid.:eek:
Happy with the diesel for now. Its very convenient.
