Series 3 rebuild underway, lots of good news that back up the seemingly genuine 31k miles.
Axle part numbers are:-
back axle
90243435d
Front axle
90164983e

These would seem to be right for a Series 3 88" RHD.
But the front axle is about 1" wider than the back.
The wheels are all the same type.

What's going on?

Not got wheel spacers on the front a previous owner may have put on have you?

I suppose the question to ask is, where are you taking the measurement from? Vehicle track can be changed by other factors, so if you are measuring anything on the wheels, you'll probably want to look there first.

For axle width you probably want to measure flange to flange or maybe even end of axle tube to end of axle tube.

No wheel spacers fitted.
I've checked the flange to flange measurement too.
It's actually quite visible by eye.
I checked the wheels ( it was the first place I looked) and one was a different inset to the others. Putting four matching rims on actually made matters worse...
The brakes appear to be the same size front and back - which is a suprise - I thought the fronts were bigger?
It's a 1980 88" diesel pickup. But just pre the 1980 update by the look of it.
I'll go and have another look tonight if I get the chance.
In the meantime, the rebuild continues...
