Same axle twister but going the other way, I deliberately "parked" with the vehicle rocking on 2 wheels, my missus took the shot from outside the fence, you can just see the marshalls leg appearing centre right, he asked me did I need a push, I was a bit surprised because we just drove off with the traction control doing it's thing. Later my missus told me they had pushed quite a few Defenders & Disco's, probably older models without traction control. I tend not to get involved in these arguments but in my opinion in certain conditions a Freelander 1 copes much better than Disco's & Defenders ................cue the tratter boys
i have to say i agree with you:)

Hi, I just noticed the message above your signature strip:

the car park spaces at tescos just aint wide enough for a disco but the gaylander fits perfectly

Can you explain this? - as I believe the Freelander (Gaylander to you - in tratterspeak) is actually a little bit wider than a Disco.

Not much mark you - about the width of the wiggly bit at the end of a tratter's pig's tail to put it in perspective.

maybe the landys that couldnt cope was more down to driver error ? in its own right the freelander did well , well done that pilot.:D

yep truely outstanding

well lets face it , the freelander did do well for what it was faced with , it was alot higher than a speed bump or high curb:D. and for the ones that didnt make it , its driver error, plenty of standard discos defenders etc went over it all without problems........:D

Hi have you seen the following clip ........ just to make a point about Freelander capability ........... Freelander - Subida complicada.wmv - YouTube

Traction control and the VCU plus relatively light weight makes for a pretty goo combination.......
Another good video. :)

I have a dream that one day the Land Rovering world will rise up and live out the true meaning of its faith: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all Land Rovers are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the green hills of the countryside, the owners of Freelanders and the owners of other Land Rovers, will be able to drive together orf road in peace.

I have a dream that one day even the durdyist of tratterers, sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of their non air conditioned tratters, will be transformed into honest believers in the ability of Freelanders.

I have a dream that our little Freelanders will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by their misfortunes, but by the ability of their brilliance orf road.

I have a dream today!
