To be honest its not expensive dig it out, hire a mixer, use rebar 4x2 shuttering, and a good concrete mix, 2 chaps with beer and sarnies could smash that out in a weekend easy.
I would not bother getting concrete delivered for that size

I did a 10m x 5m @8 inch deep for the carport had the concrete (C20 volumetric mix on site) plus fibres delivered so that was about £950 for the concrete, do the math there was a lot of it! No MOT base for me just DMP sheet on the compacted dirt.

car port build thread

blimey that was a few yards of concrete, lol , indeed would be a nightmare if u was just using a mixer

funny enough watched this video the other day where a guy built a metal shed for his cars , was a good watch

Long vid! Ill watch that tonight while she's watching her dross 😆

My moms got a few spare, good shout! They'd do for raising axle stands then

I was going to get some marine ply boards to take up diff between concrete and tarmac then build a little platform for the jack out of railway sleepers and more ply for a top. Smooth but grippy enough 👍🏻

I do want to concrete it in the future, I'd do it myself so it would be cheaper, just tool hire and materials

ur so welcome and brilliant ur mum has a few spare , wonder if it’s worth filling them up with gravel and a sheet of marine ply over the top

also wonder if u could maybe trim some off the bottom of those plastic trays in order to get more support as u go up the slope so to speak

still can’t get over how much weight they can support

Just finished watching it, the neighbours were a 'mare! It was noisy tho 😅

plus 1 with it being noisy seeing they built it all out of metal , would have been interesting to see how much difference in cost in building it out of block , could have then had a large i beam fitted with some pad stones for engine / gearbox removal , along with better u values heating/ cooling , moreover a lot quieter of neighbours

think he said it took around 6 x months to build

seen many other builds of block garages/ extensions , render outside along with some Velux’s in the roof

as a side note started watching this series where they’ve started building the garage in Texas , then onto building the house attached

this is also a very interesting series of videos that he’s currently taken on
