My SII with SIII axles is bleeding badly from the drivers side front. filled the axle and hub to the levels (almost empty) and its now bleeding through/around the end of the axle and also out of the hub and on the plate the brake shoes mount on, so i guees the axle oil is leaking throught its seal and the hub/swivel thingy is leaking through its seals.

My questions,

- how long a job is it to do all seals on this area
- Will i need any special tools
- What risks are there, like with brakes the blead nipples get stuck n break
- Any pearls of wisdom you wish some1 had told you before you started.

There are some jobs its just better to pay to get done., is this 1 of them

1 to 2 hr depending you.

a Hub Spanner (around £5 from Padds) and a torq wrench would be nice

- What risks are there, like with brakes the blead nipples get stuck n break
you wont need to touch any Nipples etc all big bolts.

- Any pearls of wisdom you wish some1 had told you before you started.

Get a tin of brake cleaner
Lots of paper tissues
Fill your swivels up with Semi fluidic grease and not ep90 when done.

Easy and cheep and quick.
 
ffs check yer breathers first.. if them is blocked yer axle will leak even wiff noo seals and ****.
 
thanks, will give it a go, didnt no the breathers could cause the leak, but its only the driver side so prob not that but will take a look. breaks getting a shudder and pulling to 1 side, which i think is the oil getting on the shoes
