Where is the auto box oil filled from?

Im thinking it needs more oil after recent change as its not engaging gear

Sorry i must be totally thick, but to check. You fill the auto gear box with trans oil down the dipstick for engine oil? how do you know its got correct lavel in auto box, i thought it was all done by plug hole underneath somewhere.Sorry to questiom just don`t want to fook it up

there's another dipstick fer the autobox - offside, low down in the engine bay.
well there is in me mate's anyway.

might be diffrunt then - his is a 95 V8.
