hi i own a disco1 3.9v8 4speed autobox. gearbox packed up a few days ago. so i located a good secondhand one. after taking the old box off i left the torq converter on the engine when i suppose to have unbolted it and left it in the box did not know this. so when i was fitting the new box i lifted it onto the housing and zipped it up with the air gun only to hear this click noise. i took no notice as i thought it was the box pulling up on the dowels. well any way it turns out ive bust the pump gear but have bin told it could be the pin on the box. now if its the pin can it be replaced and what are your views on this have i knacered the torq converter. also to unbolt the torq converter do i take out the bolts which are in view from the plate which bolts off the bottom of the bellhousing i think there is about ten. or are the bolts located in the starter motor housing .please can someone advise plus having a job of locating a torq converter.
