hi mates...im a bit skeptical abt the warm/hot feeling around the auto gear lever/knob whenever im driving her...is this normal or something is wrong ?...thanks in advance....

aint just the heat of the light bulb is it?

thanks battenberg...u mean the light bulb underneath it which illuminates the gear positions?...wow i didnt know that small light which not so bright can gives this kind of heat ...but the thing is its coming from beneath the small circular opening surrounding the lever only...but if its definitely the bulb then should be no problem :)...

have you checked the oil level in the gearbox,if its low/dry your gearbox will get hot,and worse could end up seizing up,if oil levels ok its probably just heat getting pulled through from engine as your driving

The auto gear box does get hot and the heat rises, not that nice in the UK in summer.
I'm glad I now have a/c something I didn't have in my old RRC.

I would have thought ambient is a bit hotter where you are than UK!
If it is the bulb might be worth checking it's the correct one, i.e someone hasn't replaced it with a side repeater bulb
