Have you checked you battery and charging system? Go out and put a volt meter on the battery before you start it. Take note and then start the car and bring the revs up a bit and check voltage again. I drive a classic, so I don't know what the exact output you should have, but I'm assuming around 13.8 to 14+ volts when running. These cars are finicky when it comes to having all the voltage they need to run all that electrickery. Come back and tell us what you've found and hopefully @Saint.V8 pops in with his expertise on this. Good luck.

Initial thoughts are water in the rear L/H quarter or at least moisture in the connections to the sensitive gear in there.

That would kill Radio, Sat Nav, DVD and Screen.....as for the for reverse lights....check rear fuse box and the wiring to the rear lower tailgate.

Indicator sound I think is from the instrument pack, and the command to do so is given by the Lighting Control Module.....The LCM has been known to suffer water damage, it is located on the drivers side A pillar behind the side kick panel and up under the side of the dash.

Fiddle to get at but doable.....

The reverse lights are also run via the LCM, so could be related, I'd check the LCM connections first.

Hi thanks for the reply but im a total loss when it comes to electrics, I know the car starts up straight away in mornings so i think battery is fine but you saying that has made me think.
Just before this happend i was checking fuses and took out the one for computer radio etc to check it and this all happend a day or two later could it be connected ?

Thanks for the reply but not got a clue about electrics but West slope Rover got me thinking i took the fuse to the radio computer etc prior to this do you think this could have caused it?

If the fuse was removed before the Sat Nav drive unit in the boot had shut down, it can goose the drive unit.....try unplugging the drive unit and seeing if you get radio, screen etc back (minus sat nav obviously) if you get that back, the Sat Nav drive is U/S.

If not, keep checking the rear quarters for signs of moisture.
