Hi all.
Please can someone recommend a good auto electrician in or near Huddersfield. Preferably well versed in landrovers, namely my 90 with 300 tdi conversion.

I am at the end of my tether and not prepared to touch anything electrical on this car untill it has been put in a safe state by a pro.

Any attempt at fault finding/rumiging with tangled wires either ends in sparks or something else not working.

Regards

Tez

There's a guy in Bradford called Eric Kaye if you can get there.
Reasonably priced and certainly knows what he is doing.

All sorted now. I took it to the lads at autolec, Huddersfield. Very good service indeed. All working great now and they've done some of the jobs that would have taken me weeks to complete, all for 200 quid. Worth every penny in my mind as the cold, dark evenings are far from ideal when playing with wires.

wheres autolec? i was going to recommend nd haigh, they have loads of experience with landys. one of them took a 110 across the bearing sea.

Autolec are opposite malbrad, same yard as the plumb centre. I never thought of nd haigh. I always associate them with stereos.
It's the first time I've ever taken a car to a garage, bar MOT time. I normally do everything myself but the cold, dark and landrovers awesome wiring drove me to it.

I know an auto sparky in Huddersfield who does scotching jobs on the side. Totally meticulous and mostly does landys including full re wires. If you ever get stuck let me know and I ll send you his number.

If I get any more electrical problems I might look at a rewrire. At nearly 30 years old and Shyte when new, there is only so much you can repair.
