Hello everyone

I have a 300tdi auto disco and am thinking about putting the engine and gearbox in my 90, anyone ever done it or can think of a reason not to?

gear sticks are in different places but apart from that a good idea, once put a 300tdi auto into a rrc, very good conversion. and welcome

yea it has been done, a member on here has an auto 90, just cant for the life of me remember which engine! dont think it is a 300

i would go manual tho as the auto box aint great on mpg.

Cheers guys, i will give it a go once i have worked out how to keep the fluid in the power steering box and not all over the drive.

hi got a disco auto box and engine does anyone know if i need to run some kind of ecu to work the gearbox had nothing to do with auto boxes so i am totally in the dark the 300 is going into a 110 that is currently being rebuilt nut and bolt jobby had the engine running before donor was chopped up and was sweet as a nut any help would be sound

Answer to your question is no ECU involved.

It'll also be easier to swap your injection pump to a manual one if it's a edc one

yup thanks for info this is what i planned to do ,does anyone have the wiring diagram for the box as i am sure there are 4 wires go to it one live one ground and not sure about rest lol any help would be cool also you need to chage the injectors if its edc as they run at higher pressure than 300 tdi's running standard pump

hi ive got the cable that comes out of the box for the kick down just unsure about the electrical connections on the box i think one could be for speedo etc and maybe a live and a negative just more info about it would help me a lot
